"It has brought a lot of hardship for Taxi plate owners in regional areas" - Dr Joseph McGirr, MP

Dr (Joe) Joseph Gregory MCGIRR, MP, Independent Member for Wagga Wagga gave a Private Members' Statement on Regional and Rural Taxi Services in the NSW Parliament on 10 November 2021.


Dr Joseph Gregory MCGIRR highlighted that the NSW Taxi industry has undergone significant change in the past five years. While these changes may have been a boon for city dwellers, it has brought a lot of hardship for Taxi plate owners in regional areas.


Furthermore, new proposed reforms may threaten the future of public transport in regional and rural areas.
