Sydney New Year’s Eve 2024, hosted by the City of Sydney Council, will light up the skies above Sydney Harbour on Tuesday, 31 December 2024. Fireworks displays are scheduled at 9pm and midnight, drawing hundreds of thousands to the harbour foreshore.
This year’s event celebrates the rich heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, honoring the Traditional Custodians of the land and showcasing the world’s oldest living culture.
By amplifying Indigenous voices, Sydney New Year’s Eve 2024 becomes a global platform for unity, storytelling, and the celebration of Australia’s First Nations people.
