What you need to know about attending the Peaceful Taxi Protest



What to bring


You are welcome to make up some signs highlighting your disappointment with the proposed package.

Please note: no banners, flags or placards containing offensive language or obscene slogans or pictures are to be present at the event (as per NSW Police directive).


Weather


We will be proceeding rain, hail or shine. If raining, please bring appropriate wet weather gear.


Bring a Chair


You are welcome to bring a chair as the protest will be for two hours from 11am to 1pm.


 

Politicians Attending


We also have a number of Politicians from different political parties attending, who are going to address us.

 

How to get there and Map of the Meeting Location


Getting there


Martin Place train station or St James train station are the closest to NSW Parliament.

There is parking in the Domain.


Meeting Location for attending the Protest on Foot


We meet Outside the Reserve Bank Building at Martin Place at 10:45am.

Meeting Location for attending the Protest in a Taxi Convoy

We meet on Hospital Road (Behind NSW Parliament House) at 10:50am. Enter off Art Gallery Road.

Taxi Drivers in the Convoy, please note:

- At no point, are Taxis permitted to stop or block any traffic

- The sounding of horns are prohibited

(NSW Police have advised that Penalties May Apply for offending vehicles)
